What's New in VERDE 4.2

Release History
VERDE 4.20 - Build r410.4903
- iPad, iPhone and iTouch support
VDI sessions can now be launched from an IPad, iPhone or iTouch device
- Mac users can now start the VERDE User Console in their browser and
launch a VDI session
- Two-factor authentication:
Integration of the VERDE Management and User Consoles with a RADIUS server
using the pluggable authentication modules (PAM) available with Linux.
RADIUS integration tested with the WIKID soft token system that can generate
one-time password tokens. The password changes every time the user logs
in. Given that we have completed this, we believe that we can integrate
with other 2-factor authentication systems like SecureID from RSA. This
will involve some custom services work depending on the customer needs
- Dynamic Network Configuration:
Mechanism to assign static network parameters to dynamic virtual desktop
environments. For example it is possible to assign a static IP address
and join an Active Directory domain automatically for a given virtual
desktop.
- KSM (Kernel Same page Merging) can be enabled or disabled from the VERDE
Management Console
- The VERDE User Console directly starts the VDI session without prompting
