GUI Front-End Developer
Location: Austin, TX
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities include:
You will be responsible for the implementation of the GUI of a brand new web-based application and its integration with the backend. You will also take part in decisions about technologies used, usability aspects, UX design and the formulation of the look & feel.
Being part of the nucleus of a new engineering team, you will have the opportunity to contribute in additional areas, based on need and level of interest.
Qualifications:
- Required
2 or more years of front-end web development.
- Expert level knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON.
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as JQuery, Prototype, Dojo, or Yahoo UI.
- Working experience with AJAX technologies.
- Passion for designing highly usable user interfaces.
Preferred:
- Experience with web UI framework such as Grails, Struts or Spring MVC.
- Familiarity with backend Java and database development.
- Experience with dynamic web page generation such as PHP, JSP, Velocity.
- Ability to use photoshop or similar products to create GUI objects such as icons.
